All things that Google announced

All things that Google announced – After Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft, it was Google’s turn to release its next iteration of Pixel, Home, and Nest products and more. Yesterday, Google hosted its event in New York and released series of brand new products and services’ announcement. This blog gives you an high-level overview of all things that Google announced yesterday.

Let’s start with most hyped product Pixel 4. Google started Pixel 4 teasers before the event starts. As expected, the major revamp in Pixel 4 is its camera and its comes with its own caveats.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL comes with 5.7″ and 6.3″ dimensions respectively which is starting from $799 and $899. If you pre-order it, you will get $100 to spend on accessories and if you switch it to Google’s own carrier called Google Fi, you will get $100 Google Fi credit as well.

The important con is photo storage limitation. In Pixel 3, you will get FREE unlimited online storage for all photos and videos uploaded in high-quality. But for Pixel 4, you can store unlimited online storage for all photos and videos uploaded in high-quality at cost.

Processors are Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 855 with Octa-Core, Pixel Neural Core™ and Titan M security module.

Camera features are as follows and the OS is Android 10. Pixel 4 packed with 12.2 MP dual-pixel rear camera, 16 MP telephoto camera, and Front camera with 8 MP plus Google’s machine learning and AI.

  • Group Selfie Cam

The eye catching features is RADAR which is located at the front side which detect the human motion and act accordingly. You can change the RADAR setting in your Google app. This motion sense feature only available in the US, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, and most European countries.

Nest Mini Second Generation

Google also released second iteration of Google Home Mini, but this time the name is Nest Mini (2nd generation). The configuration and price stays the same as previous generation, only change the number of microphone is 3 and the new color has been introduced called Sky. Apart from microphone and price difference, this second generation is now 40% stronger bass, much bigger and richer in sound and now you can hang your Nest Mini on the wall.

Price is $49, but do not pre-order or buy it now. I suggest you to wait till Black Friday, certainly you can buy this for at least 50% off or you can check it out for free if you buy mobile, laptop or other premium electronics.

Google Pixelbook Go

Google’s Pixelbook always sold in premium price which is not affordable. Once my friend told, why to pay more money just for a Chrome browser. Though the Pixelbook build quality, design and other aspects of Pixelbook feels great, Chrome OS (Linux kernel-based OS) core is a chrome browser.

Pixelbook Go is the next iteration of Pixelbook. Starting price range of Pixelbook Go is now at $649 which is powered by Intel Core m3 processor, 8GB RAM and 64 GB storage.

Top configuration of Pixelbook Go is Intel Core i7 – 16 GB RAM – 256 GB storage which is coming soon and priced at $1399. Following are the other configuration of Pixelbook Go:

  • Intel Core i5 8 GB RAM 128 GB storage – $849
  • Intel Core i5 16 GB RAM 128 GB storage – $999 (this model is coming soon, you need to join the waiting list).

I firmly believe that i5 8 GB RAM – 128 GB storage will be moving faster than other models. The reason behind is the Intel Core processor and it is fine balance between RAM and the storage.

Pixelbook Go comes with two colors: Just Black and Not Pink (which is yet to release).

Google Pixel Buds

The next war is for ear audio accessories. Google Pixel Buds is the answer to Apple Air pods, Amazon’s Echo Buds, Samsung’s Galaxy Buds etc. The main feature of Pixel Buds is Google Assistant, richer sound, and clearer calls. It is resistant to water and sweat; comes with 4 colors.

It has weird battery case design as shown below. You cannot pre-order it now, but you can join the waiting list.

Final note for Google Stadia lovers. It is getting released on November 19. Google Stadia is the cloud gaming platform. All you need is: gaming controller and the subscription to play the games. If you order the Founders Edition, you will get 3 months of Stadia Pro for free.

Your take? Are you going to pre-order Google’s new iteration products or you are going to wait till this Black Friday like me.
